Swiss Beauty in Spring Time: What Inspires NUME-Lab Team
Customers that try Swiss Biotech and Swiss Skincare formula once stay addicted to Swiss cosmetics beauty products for life! Why is that so? What makes Switzerland such a special country? And, why visit Switzerland in spring?
We here at NUME-Lab Switzerland are lucky to be reminded of why we started doing this and what inspires us every spring, year after year, as soon as the first wildflowers start to blossom.
Switzerland is such a nature-rich, clean, and sustainable country that we feel proud to say we’re using Swiss ingredients and manufacturing our products in a country as beautiful as this. Beauty inspires Beauty. It is a domino effect!
So, if you’re planning to visit, spring is the perfect time to do that. Here’s a warm welcome with some of the best activities Switzerland has to offer in the springtime:
Table of Contents
1. Go On a Hike in the Swiss Alps
When you think about Switzerland, please don’t think of just watches and chocolate. How about those astonishing mountains we have? Nothing beats a view from up there.
Being in Switzerland and having good weather means just one thing – going on a hike! If you have the chance and the weather conditions allow it, visit spots like 5lakes walk or places out of the beaten path like Klontalersee.
Usually, the middle of June marks the opening of the hiking season. If you do not walk there are plenty of cable cars, one of the most famous: the new Eiger Express tricable gondola will take you from Grindelwald to the Eiger Glacier station in just 15 minutes. With a direct transfer option, you will be on the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe. Travelling by the Swiss Red train: Bernina or by boat is also an option i.e. Thun cruises in Interlaken.
It’s the infinite mountains, clean air, and breathtaking views of the nature around us that inspired our product line. Sustainability is the key to preserving all that beautiful nature we see from up there, and it is NUME-Lab Switzerland pillar enforcing sustainability in skincare.
Plus, nothing beats Swiss glacier water in terms of hydration and skin benefits.
2. Take a Wellness Weekend Off
When we formulated and designed our NUME-Lab Switzerland skincare line, we wanted to give you the feeling of a SPA and relaxation in your own home.
The idea behind this was Switzerland’s culture of wellness weekends. Switzerland is full of incredible thermal baths and spas. Here, we take the concepts of skincare and self-care very seriously.
A great place to visit is Leukerbad – the Alps’ largest wellness resort with thermal waters. More info here.
So, if you happen to be in Switzerland during springtime, take a weekend off and go on a wellness retreat. Your body and soul will thank you.
3. Visit Spring Festivals
To celebrate the return of spring, Switzerland becomes the host of many festivals taking place throughout the country.
Visit Geneva to see flower children singing, Morges at the Tulip Festival or go to Zürich and celebrate the return of sunshine at the Sechseläuten festival, where you can see how they burn a snowman as the culmination point. (a typical Swiss event that occurs annually).
4. Experience Medieval Bern
The old town of Bern is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that you simply cannot miss when in Switzerland. You’ll feel like you time-traveled back in history for a moment.
In Bern, you explore the amazing weekly markets or enjoy the incredible botanical garden. And, of course, we can’t forget the abundance of art museums and historical sites to see.
If you’re looking for something different and unusual, we definitely recommend Bern in spring!
5. Visit Lucerne
Lucerne is every bit as picturesque as you see in photos. It’s arguably one of the most beautiful places in Switzerland. It has everything – a mirror-clean lake, an old charming town, mountain ranges all around, and beautiful historical bridges.
It’s a picture-perfect spot, like stepping into a painting at sunset. It can’t be explained, you have to experience it.
6. Montreux - the birthplace of NUME-Lab Switzerland
Just like artists, musicians, and writers in the 19th century came to Montreux in search of inspiration, so did we. And we welcome you with open arms!
If you miss the spring and come in the summer, in July, you’ll be able to attend our annual Montreux Jazz Festival.
And, if medieval castles are your thing, don’t forget to visit Château de Chillon or the Chillon Castle when you’re in Montreux. It’s a beautiful spot with an amazing view of Lake Geneva.
Let’s not forget, all of this – with the obligatory glass of good wine!
7. Try Via Ferrata (one of NUME-Lab Founders favorite activities)
Via Ferrata is one of the most epic experiences you can have in Switzerland.
Via Ferrata stands for”iron path”, plural vie ferrate or in English via ferratas) is a protected climbing route found normally in the Alps.
is a climbing route that employs steel cables, rungs or ladders, fixed to the rock to which the climbers affix a harness with two leashes, which allows the climbers to secure themselves to the metal fixture and limit any fall.
It is for those who have no heights fear! One of the favorite Via Ferrata of the founders? for sure Via Ferrata Farinetta in Valais, Saillon. This via climbs through the Salentze Gorges and there is a beautiful section next to a waterfall. Always remember: Safety First!
